To participate in Johnson County Great Give Day and help make a positive impact on Johnson County nonprofits and those they serve, simply make a gift to any of the organizations listed below on May 1, 2024. Gifts on Johnson County Great Give Day may be eligible for specific match opportunities or campaigns, and will contribute toward the total philanthropic dollars raised for Johnson County nonprofits on Great Give Day! Simply peruse the list of nonprofit organizations below, which are also able to be searched based on their areas of work (Arts, Education, Environment, Health, Human Services, or Public Benefit) and click the organization’s name to learn more or make a gift directly through their website. Please note, some organizations have their own MATCH GIFTS available which will amplify your donations – check with individual organizations to find out if a match is available.

New Harmony Line

New Harmony Line’s mission is to allow anyone of any age or ability to use Hyperscore to compose music without requiring musical training, as long as they have access to a device and the internet.

North Liberty Community Pantry

The North Liberty Community Pantry engages our community in feeding, clothing, and connecting our neighbors to resources and services.

Open Heartland (Our Kids DBA Open Heartland)

Open Heartland is dedicated to serving Latino immigrant families living in Johnson County who have escaped violence, extreme poverty, and lack of access to educational and health resources for their families.

Preucil School of Music

The Preucil School of Music seeks to provide excellence in early childhood education and music instruction for students of all ages in a caring, nurturing environment. We offer music instruction for violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, flute, harp, and a wide range of music activities for students of all ages.

Project GREEN

To promote high standards of design in architecture, landscape architecture and community planning, as well as high standards of maintenance and cleanliness in our community To serve as a forum for beautification and improvement ideas To encourage the preservation of open spaces, natural features and historic landmarks To support, supplement and recommend beautification projects of governmental agencies and volunteer committees To stimulate citizens to make improvement on their individual properties and to work toward an improved overall community appearance

Public Space One

PUBLIC SPACE ONE (PS1) is an artist-led, community-driven, contemporary art center. We aim to: • provide an independent, innovative, diverse, and inclusive space for making and presenting art • produce unique programs that stretch boundaries and present diverse perspectives • provide resources for artists and cultural educational opportunities, and • advocate for the importance of art in everyday life for any and everyone.

Regina Foundation

To enhance the long-term financial strength of the Regina Catholic Education Center

River City Housing Collective

RCHC is an affordable housing cooperative dedicated to providing a safe physical and social environment for all members at a cost below that of the Iowa City market average through consensus-based decision-making and shared responsibility to each other and our community.

Riverside Theatre

A great city deserves serious theatre. Theatre that sparks discourse, builds community, delights, inspires, breaks down barriers, and explores the complexities of the human spirit. Riverside Theatre strengthens the cultural fabric of Iowa City through intimate, engaging productions from classics to new works, fostering a deeper appreciation for the dramatic arts.

Shelter House

Through shelter and housing, advocacy and supportive services, our mission is to prevent and end homelessness in our community.
